After extensive four years working and covering stories of women in different countries over the global, Sana Afouaiz started focusing on stimulating the economy through female entrepreneurship by providing a holistic approach to kitting women with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed their businesses.

During her travels, Sana Afouaiz found herself asking: How does one empower women in a sustainable way? Afouaiz researched several models, and then founded the Womenpreneur Organization, a not-for-profit organization that offers women entrepreneurs a unique plateform to grow their initiatives.

Before launching the initiative, Sana was Young Leader Expert for the European Commission and Political Expert for Young Professional United Nations.

​

She is « Advisor Mentor » for« Queen’s Young Leaders »  an initiative of the Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust et The Royal Commonwealth Society, she assists this initiative on areas related to influencing policy, international development, organizational strategy, business skills, management expertise, communications and media, networking and developing ideas.

During her mandate to World Pulse; she focused on global women issues, she traveled to over 30 countries where she has researched the situation of women and girls in different countries, she has led campaigns highlighting the difficulties faced by young women living under conservative culture, others facing challenges such as violence, reproductive health issues and forced marriages. While working as consultant and Future Thinker for “Foresight for Development” she traveled over Middle East and Africa covering stories of women’s conflict zones. Thanks to her strong commitment she has led a successful campaign to reform the Moroccan article that allowed rapists to marry their victims and avoid jail.

Sana is also a motivational Trainer and an international public speaker on issues ranging from entrepreneurship, women empowerment, policy coherence, SDGs implementation, youth issues among other areas. 

​

Sana has been recognized at the international level for all the work that she has done; Sana was named one of 10 top active youth to work with Restless Development, she was awarded Ashoka Changemaker Award, Excellence Metropolian Scholarship; and she has been nominated for 2016 CIVICUS Nelson Mandela – Graça Machel Innovation Awards and the MENA Female leader for G(irls)20.

Sana's vision is identifying, promoting and providing support for women and youth to be agents of change.
